About
Barcodepedia.com is a community based online barcode database. The database is completely free to use, and everyone is welcome to contribute. Although it is possible to create a user on Barcodepedia, you can use the entire homepage without one.
Originally the page was named barcoder which was a tech demo of of the new possibilities in flash 8, but due to a large interest in the subject the current more community minded homepage was developed.
License
All data inserted into the database by users are released under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 License. Sadly we do not currently expose this data via an API or as downloads but it is a top priority.
If you choose to use the information in Barcodepedia.com externally it would be much appreciated if you submitted updates made to this data back to us. Also please refer to this homepage when displaying data originating from it.

- 3 Support for EAN-8 and UPC-E webpage and scanner support.
- 4 Cuecat support (If you happen to have a Cuecat scanner lying around you feel sending to Denmark please contact me on the below contact email for a shipping address)
- 5 Better handling of special barcode types.
- 6 Making the page accessible without javascript and/or cookies.
